This is the primary home of a family. It is not a short-term rental property for tourists.
Accordingly, the house is filled with personal items and decorations - please expect this to be different from an AirBnB or so!

Villa Portofino has:

5 minutes walking distance from Sea Point Main Road with many shops and restaurants
10 minutes to Sea Point Promenade and Beach

with best available high-speed internet (⇣ 1000mbps/ ⇡ 200mbps, glass fibre, flat rate)
To enjoy our home to the fullest, please take note of the following:
We have two cats that need to be fed twice daily and litter boxes that require regular attention - it's an integral part of your stay. We have a feeding machine, which can cover meals, but they can't be left alone for more than 36 hours in a row.
The house is spread over three floors, so you will climb many stairs!
We are on a busy road, but since we have double glazing, the house's interior and the sea-facing outdoor spaces are quiet.
The garage is not in use, so you'll need to park on the street - but there is always space for street parking right in front of the house. We do the same with our two cars and have never had any serious incidents.
We have no air conditioning, but many windows and doors create a draught to supply fresh air.
The plunge pool is really small - super to cool down and splash a lot, but that's really it!
We also have someone coming two days per week to clean and do the laundry. She is absolutely great and will also come during your stay (keeping the house clean and in order and doing your laundry).
